President's Welcome
The Irish Cardiac Echo and
Imaging Group (I.C.E.) has been formed to
promote the study and advancement of
ultrasound imaging and Doppler in
Cardiology. It represents the
interests of all those working in
Echocardiography and in future in
other cardiac imaging modalities. We
are affiliated to the Irish Cardiac
Society and hope to develop
functional links to the European
Association of Echocardiography.
The Society will have a major
interest in education and training. It will provide information
regarding the mechanisms of
obtaining personal and departmental
accreditation. The Society would be
interested in developing training
and working links with other
European groups to facilitate
movement of trainees and accredited
personnel between departments.
Currently we hold two meetings a
year.
Advanced Echo - a day of
lectures by expert speakers updating
on techniques and technology.
A
business meeting is held at the
Irish Cardiac Society Meeting AGM.
We hope to list courses and meetings
from around the country and Europe.
